Working predominantly with video, Priscila Fernandes explores the human pleasure and joy in representation as we try to make objective sense of the world around. She believes any act of representation embodies our way of wanting to see things. By highlighting the manifestation of our imaginary self - the way we see ourselves - Fernandes’ works are an invitation into a world in which the systems and structures of control have been exaggerated to the point where logic becomes self-fulfilling.
