From almost 200 applications for Prix de Rome 2011 (Visual Arts) are ten artists nominated. The jury selected the following artists for the longlist:

- Gwenneth Boelens (1980, NL, lives and works in Amsterdam)
- Mark Boulos (1975, US/CH, lives and works in Amsterdam)
- Priscila Fernandes (1981, PT, lives and works in Rotterdam
- Ben Pointecker (1975, AT, lives and works in Rotterdam
- Petra Stavast (1977, NL, lives and works in Amsterdam)|
- Pilvi Takala (1981, FI,  lives and works in Amsterdam)
- Edward Clydesdale Thomson (1982, GB/DK, lives and works in Rotterdam)
- Vincent Vulsma (1982 NL, ilives and works in Amsterdam)
- Guido van der Werve (1977, NL, lives and works in Amsterdam)
- Katarina Zdjelar (1979, RS, lives and works in Rotterdam)

The artists on the longlist will present their work in  december for the jury. Afterwards the jury selects four artists for the shortlist.
